If Allardyce had the same squad as Super Slav

This season where would we be? Would he have played Payet and Lanzini together? Would he have been calling himself Allydiechi and if we would have played the great football we've played under Slav would he make some sarcastic comment about resurrecting the West Ham way?

My view is we'd be 10-12 points worse off than we are now and Allardyce is still a wanker.

Find me the quote about how for each £1m spent increases your points tally by a certain %. Then we can know for sure.

We would never have bought Lanzini, Payet or Antonio if the fat oaf was still in charge. Fuck knows who we would have bought.

I think we'd be worse off but still around the lower top half. Perhaps whereas we've attacked the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea away and gone for it, the style would have been to keep it tight and play more direct I'd imagine. Arguably though the home games we drew against Norwich, west Brom, losses to Leicester and bournemouth would also have been approached differently heeding a different result.

IMO I see little point in comparing. I don't like Allardyce as a character but he did help us consolidate and you have thank him for signing the likes of Kouyate who has been an incredibly strong signing.

Allardyce got us or promoted and consolidated, Bilic has taken us to the next stage (and exceeded expectations). I think if you switched places here then perhaps the Bilic management style would not have been as effective in getting us out of the league.

I think it's a very good question - we'd be flirting with relegation and out of the cup but referees wouldn't be having a headache with us at places like OT and SB...

Lanzini and Payet would have learnt how to play rugby under BS and told to keep their creativity down to 3 minutes per game, or else.

the problem with allardyce, and he admitted it in a press conference, is he wasn't comfortable with high expectations. he was happier keeping them to a bare minimum and just doing enough. he wouldn't have wanted Adrian constantly feeding the fullbacks from throw outs, and would be much happier launching the ball in to the final third. slaven welcomes overachievement, allardyce thinks it is dangerous
